30,000 – this was the number of registered marrow donors in 2008. 1,000,000 – this is their number today. Dorota Raczkiewicz (head of Anna Wierska’s Dar Szpiku Foundation and of Bone Marrow Donors Team, and Wielkopolska Man of the Year award nominee) as the leader of a group of extraordinary people – Bone Marrow Donors Team. These are ambassadors of actual aid. Tirelessly acting for blood cancer patients and educate people how to help and take care of such patients, and how and why should we get tested. Goodness, empathy, selflessness are infectious. Strongly and efficiently. The world of artists and athletes has already been infected. Time has come for Polish food and drink sector. Ernest Jagodziński, chef at CUCINA88, and Tomasz Tarkowski, its manager, and the entire staff decided to help. On 16 June, all of them will register as marrow donors. On 17 June, they will host an event unprecedented in Poland – #88heartsdinner. Chefs for the Bone Marrow Donors Team. This dinner is the third event in the “4 Hands Dinner” series – a culinary initiative yet unseen in Poland. To date, two events in the series have taken place:

This time, cooking is not the only thing that matters… This time, something else matters… Goodness, aid, and education. Ernest Jagodziński (Chef at Cucina88 Restaurant) and guest chefs – Adam Woźniak (Dwór Oliwski, Gdańsk), Tomasz Deker (Co-owner, T. Deker Patissier & Chocolatier retail chain), and the Mysterious Chef will be cooking for our Special Guests and for… the Bone Marrow Donors Team – funds raised from ticket sales for this dinner, one of the most prestigious culinary events in 2016, will be paid to the Foundation’s account. During the dinner, Kasia Wilk will give a private concert. Dorota Raczkiewicz keeps saying that having cancer is like being at war. CUCINA88’s team would like to form another squad, ready and steady to aim and shoot on target, quickly and constantly. Each of the new soldiers becomes involved for various reasons; during the 16-17 June events we will learn about the impulses that triggered somewhat dusted switches of goodness…
